Rocklin
Just 14 mos after Jerald was born, Rocklin came along. I could never have imagined how different they would be from the get-go.
Rocklin is without a doubt one of the funniest kids I've ever met. He's especially funny in day to day life when he's just being himself and not trying to be funny. He's got a quick wit, a contagious laugh, a gorgeous smile and at home he just spills humor all day long.
Rock will be 11 in October and is quite proud of the fact that he's nearly as tall as and several pounds heavier than his "big" brother.
Rocklin is tenacious, faithful, diligent and focused. He does not like to be the center of attention, but he is always dependable and seeks to help others in the spotlight.
He loves sports, especially football and soccer. He stands by his beloved Miami dolphins no matter what the season brings.
Aside from football, Rocklin loves reptiles and amphibians, especially snakes and he tries to catch them on a regular basis. Mom no longer freaks out as long as he's careful of venomous snakes and he doesn't bring them in the house.
He loves buses/RV's and is still so very sad that our first bus caught on fire and we sold the second one several months ago. He dreams of buying a bus/van and renovating it into a camper for family vacations.
From a young age, Rocklin has had an interest in all things dangerous and adventurous, it's been fun to watch him grow and to see that virtually unchanged. He hopes one day to be a rocket scientist and maybe be one of the first astronauts to once again visit the moon.
Like his siblings, Rocklin has reflux, food sensitivities and undetermined GI issues. He also suffers from chronic joint pain, gets dizzy easy, gets hives frequently and has sensory processing issues, severe anxiety, selective mutism and possibly obsessive compulsive disorder. The complexities of these issues result in it being very rare for anyone outside of our family to see and know the "real" Rocklin. I'm so glad that he feels secure and comfortable being himself at home and I'm hopeful for the day when he's able to overcome these struggles and show the world just who he can be!
