Jerald
At 12, Jerald is our eldest little rebel, and not so little anymore!
Jerald is bright, sweet, determined, friendly, loyal, strong-willed and helpful.
He has taught me more in his twelve years than I could ever hope to teach him.
If ever a child should have been named after his father, Jerald is it (though he's not named after his daddy). He is Kevin's "mini-me" in so many ways.
I didn't know what love was until I held this first born son of mine. He has taught me how to love unconditionally and forgive quickly, how to see wonder in the small things of life and to savor the good things.
Jerald loves birds and his joy in them is contagious. He could talk for hours about different species and especially loves it when younger children take an interest in his feathered friends.
He also likes oceanography, stamps, coins, foreign languages and most anything related to science, history and geography.
He has reflux/food sensitivities/GI issues, asthma/allergies, mild Tourette's Syndrome, Asperger's syndrome and Sensory processing issues and daily he works to overcome the challenges these things bring to his every day life.
Jerald is full of encouragement, strength and is driven to be all that he was meant to be...he has big dreams and I am endlessly in awe of how hard he works to see them come to fruition.
