ReplyDeleterhema seems to have a love/hate relationship with sand. one summer all she wants to do is play in the sand - ignores the ocean completely. the next summer she can't stand the feel of sand and just wants to be in the water!
Aaron has hated sand until this year. Now it's a love/hate, take it or leave it relationship. In April we went to the beach and he would not let me put him down. I walked the beach with him on my back for an hour because every time I tried to put him down he completely freaked out. After several small exposures over the summer in little sandboxes, he has gotten more willing to touch it. He was cautious at first this time, but by the end he loved it. He did enjoy the water MUCH more than the sand though.
