Aaron's current obsession? fascination? Activity of choice?
Can you guess?
Well, yeah, Thomas the Tank engine is one. That's not what I'm referring to this time though.
Guess again.
Soccer?
Good guess, yes, that is true. Again, not what I'm referring to this time.
Give up?
I was going to post a picture to show what seems like hundreds of pages of proof, but we are having computer/camera issues at the moment so I'll have to skip that. For now, let's suffice it to say that he has probably killed a small tree or two with the amount of paper being dedicated to his new found love...
TIC-TAC-TOE
No, I have no clue where he learned it. No one in the house remembers ever showing him the game. It's something we've done from time to time, but not on a regular basis.
I do know that he has become the master in our house and he is now "eating, sleeping, breathing" this game.
He's also becoming the master of negotiating...
A: Will you please play Tic-Tac-Toe with me?
Me: Sure, once or twice.
A: How 'bout five times?
Me: Okay, five times.
A: Now, how 'bout we play until I win?
Me: Okay, until you win.
A: Now, how 'bout we play until you win?
Me: Okay, until I win.
A: Now, how 'bout we play until there is no more room on this paper?
Me: Okay, until the paper is covered.
A: Now, how 'bout we play until daddy gets home and he can play with me?
Me: Um, no.
A: Okay, then Jay, will you play with me?
J: Sure.
A: Okay, how about five times?
and on it goes...EVERY.DAY.
(and no, I don't always let the conversation get that far. There are times I say No and he is learning to deal.)
Now, if we could just harness some of that determination and concentration to some other areas like chores and phonics...

Happy Birthday Rocklin!
*Rocklin's birthday was October 26th*
Judging by the smile on your face ALL day, I think it was just about a perfect birthday! Football, food, books and some special time on a "date" with your daddy...yup, I think it was a perfect day!

We love you, Rocklin, you are such a gift to us! I'm glad you enjoyed your Irrigation books and other gifts. Thanks for being patient and understanding when your dolphins stuff was a few days late arriving. Since you've pretty much worn the hat and the shirt since getting them, I'd say they were worth the wait. I'm also glad you don't mind a too big shirt since I goofed when ordering... At least it'll fit you for a couple of years!
